This is both these ladies first appearance for NLWC although Star has been a star of the mixed wrestling  and grappling/catfight circuit at the Catz Club for some time now. Gem however came to the Club for the first time and was a complete unknown quantity - other than she was experienced in judo.

The ladies met on the mats for training and within minutes Gem picked up the basics of competitive wrestling and demonstrated she certainly wasn't afraid of getting stuck in! With that in mind, it was decided that the ladies would have a training bout of 10-minutes length...

Everybody, including Star was shocked at Gem's aggression and speed right from the off - her judo background definitely helped out here. Although Gem was giving away over 20lbs in weight and 5" in height it didn't hinder her one little bit. She gave Star every bit as she got with scissors, grapevines, nelsons and pin attempts a plenty!

For her part Star didn't take it lying down - and fought off Gem as best she could. Star used her long legs and additional strength to her advantage. No shortage of wrestling holds were attempted and won, but the speed of Gem just proved too much.

After just 5-minutes of fighting Gem wore Star down to gain her first pin. And to everybody's shock Star then gave up! For those of you who know Star she is no quitter so it just goes to show how good Gem was on her very first appearance!

Whilst the match lasts only 5-minutes, and the ladies don't wear the regulation gym/swimwear to fight, we release this training bout at a bargain price as a taster of the great stuff to come... Gem will be back for as much wrestling as we can give her and a rematch with Star is most definitely lined up in due course.
